The Beast Gets Some Action

This morning Adam peeked his head out the blinds to see our neighbor stuck up to tops of his wheels in the middle of the road. See, even though it really didn't snow THAT much, the wind up here in a storm is crazy. So we have 4 foot tall snow drifts in the middle of the road. Adam was all to happy to have a chance to use the new Beast to help him out. Actually our neighbor had a Bigger Beast than us so they were able to snowblow him free together. Yay for the Beast and our 4WD. It doesn't make the snow so bad.
Click on the picture for a close-up of Adam's frosty eyebrows. Doesn't he look a little too happy to be freezing cold at 7 in the morning on a snowy, windy day?

Being "Soft"

I only hope he is this gentle when the REAL baby comes. Not that he will be holding it anytime soon, but you know what I mean.

Grandpa and the Kids

Luke doing the hopeful puppy dog eyes trying to get Grandpa to let him play his Gameboy. It worked.

Liam was so sad when he woke up from a nap and I wasn't there, but Grandpa sure is good at getting these kids to laugh.

A Large Mouse

This is a 2 lb. block of cheese and a frequent find in our house. I guess my kids love cheese. Nice.

The Beast

As told in the previous post, Adam was fed up with shoveling especially after he got stuck in our driveway trying to go to work one morning. So here he is, so happy to have a snowblower, which is really a necessity with all the snow that we get. It really is a beast - and we love it.

The Story of the Snowblower

Okay so I have not been blogging because we have been stuck in our house since the new year. Well, not literally, but the kids went back to school so the house is WAY quiet and the city has been HORRIBLE - Do you hear me?!!!- HORRIBLE about plowing our neighborhood, we are totally getting shafted. They finally did a decent job today, but of course it is still snowing. After Adam and his 5 lb. car got stuck in the driveway this morning he had about had it. So, we are now the proud owners of a new snow blower. It is too big for Adam's 5 lb. car so I have to go pick it up tomorrow. I promise pictures. Yay! We (and I mostly mean our backs) are so excited.

Happy New Year!

Well another year has come and gone. I can't believe Luke will be getting baptized this year, Grace will be in kindergarten, and we will have another little addition to our house to add to the chaos. It will be an eventful year. We are so thankful for all that we have, we are so grateful for the gospel in our lives and to have Heavenly Father's guidance especially in hard economic times like we are now experiencing. I am always glad for a new year to kick start all those things I have been wanting to get done. This year we hope to at least get started on the basement, so that is our big goal for now. We wish you all the best and hope you are getting a new start at this new year!
