Busy July

Okay....so we have been very busy this month. One of the fun things we did recently was go to Danielle and Jordan's wedding where Grace was the flower girl. The video is at the end, I can't believe she actually did it, I am so proud of her. The wedding was really fun and we wish them the best and safety for Jordan. He is a Marine and is being deployed to Afghanistan.

The beautiful cake that Aunt Sharon made....it was delicious too!
The kids looking "scared" at the wedding.
James and Adam
Eden, Grace, Kim and Claire
Liam and Seth
The latest and greatest family picture. Thanks Mom!
I just HAD to paint Claire's toenails red...it was a color of the wedding after all. Amazingly I was able to do it, painting the toenails of a 3 month old baby is an art form. I did do one foot while she was sleeping but I am giving myself props for even attempting it.
Getting ready to walk down the aisle! Her dress was so pretty.

And now off to more adventures!

2009 Cakes

The little boys' dump truck cake, complete with gummy worms.
Big Boys cake....keeping it simple.
The girls cake....you can never go wrong with pink frosting!
Every year I make special cakes for the kids, it's only your birthday once a year you know. This year we did a big family birthday party where we celebrated 6 birthdays at once. It is always a blast to have family over. Of course the dump truck cake was the easiest to make and the most popular. Yummy with Cool Whip on top! I will definitely make it again, maybe in a sand bucket next time.

Happy Birthday to....Everyone! Well that's what it feels like.

Happy Birthday to...Liam, Seth, Kim, Julie, James, Adam & Grace! We sure do have a lot of July birthdays around here. It has been hard to keep up. Here are some birthday shots...

Liam and the biggest toy dump truck ever...from Grandma Pam and Grandma Keith, of course!
Liam and Grace waiting for the surprise from Grandma, which was...
A guitar! The good thing about it is the kids want to play it even if it's out of tune. That is also the bad thing about it.

Another Blackmail Photo

What can I say...this is classic Liam. And yes I do feed him, he just burns it all off dancing around in his chaps.

Hawkmon Lankford

So Princess caught a bird and it was still alive in the garage. It looked okay except for it's wing had a little blood on it, so we put it in a box and tried to take care of it. It lasted about a day and then I called Animal Control since we couldn't get it to eat anything. The poor thing must have been in shock and probably bleeding internally or something, because later on in the day it went to bird heaven. The kids really don't understand death yet, they were a little sad but had great fun making the burial grounds and decorating them. I guess this is the first of our pet cemetary.
It says RIP Hawkmon Lankford (Luke named the bird after a Pokemon - shocker, I know). Goodbye Hawkmon, it was good knowing you for a day.

It's Been So Long Since I Could Say, "Sister Suzy Sitting on a Thistle"

Those wiggly front teeth finally came out. One yesterday, one today.

Extra points if you know where the title of this post came from!

4th of July

We had a really nice 4th of July this year. Our neighborhood does a parade and this year breakfast with carnival games and relay races. It started at 9:30 and they didn't get done until almost 2:00. Thank goodness for sunscreen!

Waiting for the parade to start
