First Day of School

Well what can I say, I missed taking pictures the first day of school for Luke AGAIN this year. So here is the second day, Luke racing out the door to ride his bike to the bus stop. I can't believe my baby is in 2nd grade already. He is so lucky this year to have his best friend in class with him, a feat that is pretty lucky since there are 7 second grades at his school.
I remembered to take pictures today, how could I forget with Grace wearing her backpack for like 2 hours before she had to get on the bus? I was a little worried that she might have a hard time going to kindergarten but she surprised me. She was so excited and got right on the bus, we even followed her down to the school and watched her get off the bus. Of course she was totally fine, I think I might have separation anxiety, not her. Oh well, I think this is going to be a great year for her. She has the same teacher that Luke had in kindergarten and she is very excited for school.
Hopefully this year will be a good one for the kids at school. I am starting my preschool next week and Liam is so excited to be doing preschool with mom. My kids are growing up!

Rice Cereal

Claire had her four month check up a few weeks ago and has not been gaining as much weight as she should. So we have been giving her formula and the doctor said to go ahead and start her on rice cereal. None of my kids have like rice cereal, but I always try to give it to them anyway. Hence this....

And the infamous "I don't know what to do with my tongue so I will just promptly spit this out"...

I have started adding applesauce into it and she is getting the tongue thing down. And I am happy to add she had gained one and a half pounds at her last appointment. I guess it would be a good idea if I fed her enough....yes, mother of the year right here. Oh the things I am learning, each child is so different.

More Summer

The weekend of the 24th our good friends invited us up to their cabin by Huntsville. It was so good to get away and the kids all had a blast playing together. We played board games, went to this awesome park, played badmitton and even did a little shooting with the bow and arrows. Luke was getting pretty good!

The kids are inventing new ways to have fun during the summer. Snacks are not just from the pantry, now they are IN the pantry.

The last weekend of July was the POO CORDELIOUS family reunion! Everyone showed up and it was so much fun to see everyone and their kids. I think there was 27 kids there, plus there were a couple that weren't. We sure are doing a great job of repopulating the earth!
