For those of you who would like to be more correctly informed about temples in our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, here is video put together by our church talking about them.
There is an episode of an HBO show called "Big Love" about a polygamist family where they are supposedly going to show some parts of our sacred temple ceremonies. We don't practice polygamy, but they show these people as being members of our church, which they are not. Since our temples are sacred to us, we would of course prefer them not to show or depict scenes from the ceremonies inside them. A lot of people are upset/confused because they make it seem like the people on this show are Mormons or members of the LDS church, but they are not. So we are just trying to get accurate information out there to help people be more aware.
