Winter Arrives!

So I have been awful about blogging, really I haven't taken any pictures since school started. We did go to Disneyland a few weeks ago and I have a few pictures on my iTouch so I will post them soon. I finally pulled out the camera today, the weather was great for some pictures. We have had great weather here, and it finally snowed and stuck last night. Out came all the coats, snow pants, hats, mittens and boots. They had a blast in the snow.

Bear Lake

So my kids have never been on a boat...so sue me. BUT we got to go to Bear Lake for Adam's work retreat....which was totally sweet because all we had to do was show up and they did everything else. The kids had a blast and I loved it because they weren't fighting! There was too much to do. Anyway, Liam was like "I want to water ski". And I said "Let's start off by riding in the boat". So we settled on tubing. Grace was really nervous but she did great. Claire looks worried in all my pictures but she wanted to go again after they got off. Luke was amazing and went on with Adam and another boy and got flipped off into the lake. But he loved it. We had so much fun, it was a great way to end the summer.

Boise

So I don't know what is going on with my little camera but sometimes it is clear (as in the picture directly below) and other times it is really grainy(as in the other pictures). The kids are constantly getting a hold of it so I'm sure they messed with some settings or something. It couldn't possibly be me! ;) If you know why that might happen feel free to let me know, I am just going to reset the settings because I have no idea why.
So these are from after Oregon, we went to Boise and went camping at Sage Hen Reservoir. Which was a nightmare. I am glad I don't have any pictures because I don't want to remember it. It was just me, Mom and the kids. The nights were the worst. Kicking, screaming and biting to say the least. Naked children in underwear getting tossed in the car to drive around because they couldn't settle down. Fighting, fighting, fighting...you could tell it was nearing the end of summer because the kids couldn't stand each other most of the time. These pictures are from after we came back camping and spent the rest of the week with my mom and Keith.
Liam and Grace getting along. Grace couldn't resist this cute bench and photo op.
At the park with Emily and her kids...I cannot believe we have 8 kids between the both of us. Crazy! We are very blessed. Oldest to youngest...not tallest to shortest...sorry Emily! ;)

Emily was smart to wear a hat...I need one, obviously.

Grace wanted to "pose" in the tree.
Our boys...they are getting so big!

Oregon

Liam got ahold of the camera
Listening to Grandpa Mark and hanging out with Great Grandma Bette

Tide pools...we saw a big crab, lots of little ones, and a starfish.
Luke in the Celestial Kindgom...ha ha ha something was up with the settings on the camera. Or....I did this on purpose if you like it!

Haystack Rock....aka the site of Goonies! Never Say Die!
At Tillamook Cheese Factory...Luke is obviously enjoying the ice cream!
The Baby Loaf Bus...Claire was obsessed with it and screamed when we left.

At the turnaround in Seaside

Not many pictures of me...Dad took this I am pretty sure.
The end of the Oregon Trail...you can see the statue of Lewis and Clark behind. Adam, Hattie, Cherokee, Grandma Bette, Dad, Grace, Liam, Claire, Luke.

Back to School

Walk Like an Egyptian

So our big vacation this summer was to Seaside Oregon where we had a Burgener Family Reunion. The theme this year was Walk Like an Egyptian. I have lots more pictures, taken by dad of course that I will try and post later. Here is from the one night where we dressed up and danced to the song, and also had a few sing a longs and silly moments. We had a great time in Oregon!
Grace and I have Egyptian eyes in case you were wondering what is going on with that.
Claire, Hattie and Dad...love the spoon snakes on the headbands! My family is totally creative!
Some of Lankfords, some of Bushnell kids. Thank goodness Nick and Rachel came, our kids had some others to play with!
